FAQ's
What’s actually in this protein?
Yeast protein isolate, cocoa powder, and stevia leaf extract. That's it. No added flavours, no digestive enzymes, no thickeners, no preservatives, no fillers and no additives.
I’m new to protein powder. How should I start?
Start with half a scoop for the first 1 to 2 days while your body gets used to a new protein source, then move to a full scoop.
Why is the scoop 38g for 24g of protein?
Because 8g of it is cocoa. Flavouring would have allowed a smaller scoop. We chose cocoa.
Does yeast protein have 9 essential amino acids?
Yes, Only What's Needed Yeast Protein has all 9 essential amino acids.
Can I use it in hot food and drinks?
Yes, yeast protein is heat stable.
Is this tested for safety?
Every batch is tested across 7 parameters: protein content, heavy metals, microbes, specific pathogens, pesticides, melamine spiking and aflatoxins. No batch ships without clearing them all.
Where is this manufactured?
It is manufactured at a GMP-approved partner facility in India. The facility has a DSIR certified lab and follows pharma-grade protocols.
Is yeast protein safe?
Baker's yeast has been used in bread for centuries. Every batch goes through the 7 lab tests listed above. No batch ships without clearing them all, and the reports for your batch are public.
Does yeast protein have purines, and can that raise uric acid?
Purines are natural compounds in food that your body converts into uric acid. They're in dal, rajma and in yeast. During processing, most of the nucleic acids that carry purines are removed, so what's left in the powder is protein. If you have gout, high uric acid or any kidney condition, check with your doctor before taking this or any protein supplement.
Does this product contain allergens?
If you are allergic to yeast, please avoid it. It is also manufactured in a facility where nuts and milk-containing products are processed, so there may be a risk of cross-contact.
Can people with food sensitivities use yeast protein?
Our yeast protein is naturally dairy-free and has no soy added, so many people with lactose intolerance or soy sensitivities may find it suitable. But everyone’s tolerance is different, so it depends on the individual.
Can I take protein powder without working out?
Yes. This protein powder helps meet daily protein needs, even if you don’t exercise regularly.
How can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order anytime directly from the my orders section. Your paid amount will be refunded within 5 to 7 working days.
Can kids and teenagers take this protein powder?
Our protein is formulated for adults (18+). Most teens get enough protein from a balanced diet, unless they are in intense athletic training and under professional guidance. If you’re under 18, check with a qualified doctor or nutritionist before using any protein supplement.
