Why I’m writing this

If you search for “FoodPharmer protein” right now, you’ll see a lot of noise. Articles, reactions, hot takes. But I want this space to be different. 

This is not PR. This is me, sitting down at the end of a crazy month, telling you honestly what happened with OWN in July - the good, the bad, the stressful, the beautiful. Because you trusted me enough to buy something I built. And that’s not small.


The Launch

I’ll never forget July 2025.

On July 1st, we quietly opened up the site. A soft launch, just to test the waters. Orders started coming in. My phone didn’t stop buzzing.

By July 23rd, we went official. This was it. The first real launch of a product under the FoodPharmer name. My stomach was in knots. Would anyone even care? Would they laugh at the idea of a “democratic food brand”?

And then it happened.

Without a single ad, we crossed ₹1.36 crore in sales. I stared at the dashboard in disbelief. This wasn’t just me anymore. This was us. Thousands of people saying: “We want something different.”


The Chaos Behind the Scenes


It was a slightly messy rollout, to be fully transparent.

  • UPI payments were failing. I had people texting me screenshots of stuck orders at midnight.
  • The website had bugs we didn’t catch.
  • Some orders got shipped to the wrong addresses. A few sat in limbo for too long.

I wish I could say we nailed everything. We didn’t. It was stressful, embarrassing at times. But that’s the price of building in public. You don’t get to hide the cracks.


What You Told Me

When the first packs landed, the messages started.

  • Some of you said: “This is the first protein where I know exactly what’s inside. I finally feel safe.”
  • Others said: “The taste is different. Not bad, just not what I’m used to.”
  • A few of you struggled with digestion - bloating, heaviness.

And honestly? I felt every word. Pride. Relief. Guilt. A mix of emotions I can’t fully explain.

But here’s my promise: I’ll never bury your feedback. It will shape what comes next. Always.


The Decisions We Took

A few moments stand out:

  • Some early buyers felt the price change was unfair. We refunded them. I’d rather lose money than lose trust.
  • Many asked why we’re not on Amazon or Blinkit. The truth is - those platforms don’t let me give you the transparency I want. If the batch tests update tomorrow, I can’t push that instantly on Amazon. So for now, OWN stays direct.
  • And yes - the biggest demand is for Plant Protein. That journey has begun. And like whey, it won’t be my decision alone. It’ll be built with your votes.

What I Learnt

Launching a product is not about one big day. It’s about a thousand tiny flows that need to work: payment, courier, refund, packaging. We didn’t get all of them right. But every failure taught me something.

Most of all, it reminded me: this isn’t my brand. It’s our platform.

  • Fixing the payment and shipping headaches.
  • Iterating on taste and solubility.
  • Opening the voting platform for Plant Protein.

When I started FoodPharmer, I didn’t imagine this. I thought I’d make a few videos, maybe help people read labels better. But July 2025 showed me something bigger - that people actually want to build food differently.
